Everyone is invited to watch the Philippine premiere screening of "Sounds of a New Hope" on October 2, 2009, 9pm at the Freedom Bar, Anonas, Quezon City

“Sounds of a New Hope” is a documentary film on the journey back to the Philippines of Filipino-American rap artist named Kiwi. He discovers the use of hip-hop as an organizing tool in the people's movement for national liberation and genuine democracy in his home country.

about 'basquiat', i like the soundtrack, the storytelling, the cinematography and the actors (parker posey mystifies me and david bowie was effective as andy warhol). it was simple, but it was able to make you understand his struggles as an artist, which are political. 'yun lang. :)
